Answer #1

Abortion is one of the issue of cultural conflict. Some stand for it, while others are against it. Persuaders in the issue are Government, family, cultural beliefs and values. The beliefs, attitudes and values in conflict are life of the foetus, whether it is seen as a living being or not. Abortion is discouraged even if the baby is a result of affair (pro-life). It is seen no less than a killing or a murder, questioning morality. With the advancement in technology, people can now know the gender, and abnormalities, if any. Advocates of pro-life, discourage such practices as they may urge abortion. People who advocate abortion, do not consider the foetus as significant to value as a life, until its birth. They reason that, it is better than abandoning the child, making the child suffer with disabilities. If the conflict gets resolved, the lasting impact would be a clarity on the issue, and on the actions taken for all the generations to come.
