Dear Student,

As the environment on Earth was becoming more aerobic , mitochondria provided advantage to host cells by converting toxic o2 into energy for heterotrophic cells . As mitochondria are found in all eukaryotes , these combinations are likely to evolve first. Photosynthetic eukaryotes probably acquired an autotrophic prokaryote which developed an advantageous symbiosis with host.

So option B is the answer
