Since absorbance versus concentration plot give equation y = 1579.7x in which y is linearly dependent on x. Hence, increasing concentration of salicylic acid by 1/3 also increases absorbance by 1/3.

Also according to Beer's law, absorbance of a sample is directly proportional to the concentration hence absorbance also increases by 1/3.
