During the process of auditory processing, the auditory stimulus of input goes through the ear canal and is carried by the nerves in order to be interpreted by the language area of the brain. This allows one to comprehend, think and respond to such stimuli in a short amount of time as possible.
Visual processing is the process by which visual stimuli, when light guys the retina is carried via the optic nerve to the visual cortex, primarily in the occipital lobe, where the energy is transmitted and converted into a form that the brain can interpret, this sending back feedback and perceiving what the stimuli means based upon one's knowledge.

Compare and contrast the pathways of auditory and visual processing by creating a schematic diagram (either drawn out by hand or created using PowerPoint or other software). This can be in a simple box-and-arrow format. Start at the hair cells in the auditory system, and the retina in the visual system (you can be general here, no need to go through the details of photoreceptor/bipolar cell/ganglion cell stuff) and work your way up to the primary sensory cortex for each...
