The teses are responsible for making testosterone,the primary sex harmone and for producing sperm.Steroid harmone is produced primarily in the testes of male and is responsible for secondary sexual characters in male.Gonadotropin releasing harmone is made in the hypothalamus and travels to the pitutary where it stimulates follicle stimulating harmone and luteinizing harmone.Follicle stimulating harmone is necessary for sperm maturation.Luteinizing harmone binds to leydig cells to stimulate testosterone secretion and androgen production.Testosterone stimulates sex drive.

Gonadotropin releasing harmone is produced by a part of the brain called the hypothalamus.Follicle stimulating harmone produced by pitutary gland during the first half of menstrual cycle.It stimulates development of the maturing ovarian follicle and controls ovum production in the female.Luteinizing harmone is also produced by pitutary gland in the brain.It stimulates the ovaries to produce oestrogen and progestrone.It triggers ovulation and it promotes the development of the corpus luteum.
