1. The government has asked you to be on a panel to revise the Affordable Care Act, what changes would you make and why? Research and justify your answer with reference citations.

The Affordable Care Act (2010) was aimed to reform the entire healthcare system of the USA (Blumenthal & Collins, 2014). It has widened the healthcare policyholders. The primary goals of the ACA are mentioned below:

• Affordable health policy insurance: ACA has made health insurance police holders more accessible to people (Frean, Gruber & Sommers, 2017). It offers a low cost insurance plan having income between 100% to 400% of the poverty level.

• Medicaid program: it offers a Medicaid program that provides healthcare services to the ones whose income is below 138% of the poverty level.

• It ensures low-cost care delivery methods.

Changes which I want to make in the ACA are as follows:

• The process of providing healthcare coverages should be fairer, easy-understandable, and easy-attainable.

• The protection and rights for health insurance plans should be provided to people across the community (Frean, Gruber & Sommers, 2017).

• Health insurance plans should be attached with job-based intends to ensure overall healthcare coverage for people

• An open enrolment policy should be signed up for all tax files after 2020.

• Free Medicaid services should be provided
