• Immigration and emigration affect evolution. Emigration is when a person or people EXIT a population and immigration is when a person or people come INTO a population. Emigration involves leaving a population, while immigration involves entering a population. When emigration and immigration occurs, evolution occurs because the gene pool is changing.
• When a person or group leaves and enters a population, they are changing the gene pool. When that person or group leaves their gene pool and reproduces with the new gene pool, they alter the allele frequency. For example, an emigrant leaves the U.S. and the immigrant comes into Scotland and reproduces, not only did this person change their original gene pool, but they also changed the new gene pool by introducing different genes through gene flow.

• Survivorship and mortality curves would be different from what they normally are with survivorship curves being lower than usual and mortality curves being higher because the higher chance of exposure to diseases spreading in the environmentleads to a high chance of death. It is properly understood that through exposure to deadly diseases, higher mortality rates andlower survivorship rates can potentially occur.
• Survivorship curves and mortality curves would be skewed with a decreased survivorship rate and increased mortality rate due to the fact that disregarding these programs would prevent people from ensuring that young babies would not die early and survive for a long time.
