1. B. Mutagenesis is a phenomenon of alternation of gene in an organism leading to mutation that is sudden change in DNA. Chronic inflammation causes DNA damage which is again a mutation which leads to cancer.

2. B. Cancer is an uncontrolled cell division of the cell. These cells are abnormal. They are called transformed cells. These cells are mutants whose gene are altered. So, the malignant tumors are tissues of these abnormal cells.

3. A. Age is the major risk factor in cancer because the mutation caused in the cells accumulates in the body with age. Also all the exposure to factors causing cancer increases with age. So, gradually gene alternation in genes accumulates in the body.
