Answer Four types of Flu Viruses are :
Influenza A is found in many organisms like humans, birds, and pigs. A type flu viruses are very diverse because of the variety of potential hosts and its ability to genetically change over a short amount of time. They’re capable of causing epidemic and even a pandemic. This happens when a virus (generally a mutant) that’s significantly different from circulating influenza A strains emerges in nature.
Influenza B is found in humans only.Type B flu may cause a less severe reaction than type A flu virus, but occasionally, type B flu can still be extremely harmful. Influenza type B viruses do not cause pandemics.
Influenza C mainly occurs in humans, but it also has been known to occur in dogs and pigs. They are, however, milder than either type A or B. People generally do not become very ill from the influenza type C viruses. Type C flu viruses donot cause epidemics.
Influenza D is found mainly in cattle. According to CDC, it’s not known to infect or cause illness in humans.
Causing illness in humans primarily: A and B type affect us primarily.
Human influenza A and B viruses cause seasonal epidemic almost every winter in the United States also called therefore as flu season.
Influenza A viruses are the only influenza viruses known to cause flu pandemics, i.e., global epidemics of flu disease. A pandemic can occur when a new and very different influenza A virus emerges that both infects people and has the ability to spread efficiently between people by human to human transmission (like COVID-19 or Chinese Virus is causing around the world).
Influenza type B flu can still be extremely harmful. But, Influenza type B viruses do not cause pandemics.
