DNA replication is semiconservative which means each strand acts as the template for synthesis of a new strand that are complementary to the parental or old strand.

Template strand is from (3’→5’) and newly synthesized strand is from (5’→3’). When read from (5’→3’) the sequence of nucleotides in a newly synthesized DNA strand is not same as in the parental “template strand.” Newly synthesized dna strand is complementary to parental strand.

Therefore, this statement is false.
