Salt glands may be found leaves of in halophytes which secrete salt. They perform desalination and remove salts from the plant tissues which help halophytes to adapt to the salty environment.
Succulent plants have parenchyma cells which can store water. This water is used to dilute the ion concentration inside the plant.
