Training and development is very important for any business. It becomes more important for businesses that deal with specialised equipment and machinary in their operations. Thus, it becomes important for the businesses to train their employees for the best practices regularly to keep them upskilled all the time with top industry skills required for the business. Hence, with appropriate training the employees then become adept at handling advanced roles within an organization. This is why training is important for any business, including airlines.
Now, the question whether the airlines should traintheir employees themselves or not depends on various factors. We will discuss some of the drawbacks associated with the in-house training programs set by the company. The first drawback is that the quality of training associatd with the in-house approach may not match the quality of the experts who are dedicated to providing this training. Also, the cost associated with developing the infrastrucutre for training and conducting the training will be higher in the case of in-house trainings. Hence, in-house trainings will attarct extra overhead expenses which is not desirable.
