ans.1) in psychology, The combination of intellectual, emotional, ethical, and physical characteristic of a specific individual is called as temperament. it is hypothesised to be associated with biological factors.

now we study a person's temperament according to 9 different categories- activity, regularity, intial reaction( approach or withdrawl), intensity, mood, distractibilty, sensitivity, persistance and attention span.

eg. twins with similargenetic makeup living in similar environmental condition are seen to have similar temperament. while personalities differs as they mature, differences in temperament remain stable.

ans.2) anything that adversely affects normal cellular development in embryo or fetus is called as teratogen. certain chemicals, some therapeutic and illicit drugs, radiation and intrauterine viral infections are kown to adversely alter cellular development in embryo or fetus.

eg. tetracycline antibiotics, warfarin,thalidomide drugs.

ans.3) The period that marks the permanent cessation of menstrual cycle, normally occuring at the age of 45 to 58yrs, is called as menopause.

menopause i said to have occured once the woman has experienced 12full month without menstrual bleeding.the mean age of menopause in U.S. is 51yrs.
