The primary cell wall is composed of the polysaccharides cellulose, hemicelluloses and pectin.

Hemicellulose of the primary cell wall is more which makes it more flexible.

Secondary cell wall is composed of more amount of cellulose compared to Hemicellulose. In addition to this, it also contains lignin suberin as additional Materials deposited in it that makes the secondary wall less flexible and more rigid.
