I have worked for an E-Commerce firm which is quite established and systems and processes are in place in that organisation, it follows those rules and regulations and carry out its processes to achieve the desired and ore-decided objectives. The decision making process is very effective as centralized system is not used rather decentralization is there wherein every department has one single point of contact and a collective decision is made by consulting those department heads so that everybody has a say in the decision making process and people can tell the pros and cons of that particular decision for their department, because of this process the decisions that are taken are much more productive and fruitful as far as the ultimate outcome is concerned. Yes as discussed it is a collaborative effort. Decision analysis tool used for now is just the bench marking and comparing the output with the desired result.
