by adding phases to each reactant and product.

Answer:

The proper equation is,

Sr(NO3)2 (aq)   +    2 KIO3 (aq)    + H2O (l)   ---->   Sr(IO3)2*H2O (s)   + 2 KNO3 (aq)

where

(aq) means aqueous phase

(l) means liquid phase

(s) means solid phase

As Sr(NO3)2 is ionic compound and present in water and soluble in water so its phase is aqueous, similarly KIO3 ans KNO3.

Water exist as liquid in this reaction.

Since Sr(IO3)2*H2O crystallize and precipitate out so its phase is solid.
