Depression is the facet that affets the human's thought process and emotions. There are varied physical, mental, psychological reasons behind depression.
Fatigue, the sleeping timings and extent, the way a person gets angry, forced happiness, discouragement, compaining nature, use of drugs and alcohol etc are some of the signals with which depression can be comprehended.
I personally feel that most of the depression is artificial/ man made, in a sense that we human beings unnecessarily nurture it by repeatedly chewing it through the way we think, talk and act.
If the aspects of depression are neglected and if we are involved in "something"- this "something" can be work, friends, family, hobby, volunteering for a non profit causeor any other passion, we will not be suffering from depression.
But in reality, we are with the flow of depression and our lifeforce evaporates. Psychodynamic therapy, behavioural therapy, family therapy, interpersonal therapy are the options for getting treated. Getting hospitalised and taking help of medications is also a recent trend.
But i feel that the best remedy to handle depression is "Self Help". If we eat good, sleep well, excercise in a fine manner, prioritise the facets of the life, we may not become the victim of depression.
Further, humour and the allied laughings are the best medicine in this context. The sense of humour must not be lost, rather it should be cultivated and life will obviously blossom.
