In the Use of the Analytical Balance activity, you determined the volume of a drop of water by two different measurements methods. Three quantities were determined: mass of water; volume of water; and number of drops. Provide an explanation for the least accurate calculation among the three quantities.

Answer #1

Volume calculation will be the least accurate calculation among all three calculation because the number of drops of water can be easily counted precisely also the mass of the water can be calculated precisely but not as precise as the no of water drop calculation, But if we talk about the calculation of the volume of the water then there is a chance of sticking the water droplets to the wall of measuring flask which will give the error in the calculation of the volume of the water drops.

Two methods were descibed for determining the volume of the flask used for the molar mass determination. Which method will give a more precise determination of the volume? Why? When two acceptable determinations of the weight of vapor needed to fill the flask have been obtained, remove the foil cover from the flask (do not discard) and clean out the flask. Fill the flask to the very rim with tap water, cover with the foil cover, and weigh the flask,...

need help!! 7-3: Analysis of a Ferrous Chloride Sample Titrations provide a method of quantitatively measuring the concentration of an unknown solution. This is done by delivering a titrant of known concentration into an analyte of known volume. (The concentration of an unknown titrant can also be determined by titration with an analyte of known concentration and volume.) In oxidation-reduction (redox) titrations, the voltage resulting from the mixture of an oxidant and reductant can be measured as the titration proceeds....

Slot machines are now video games, with outcomes determined by random number generators. In the old days, slot machines were like this: you pull the lever to spin three wheels; each wheel has 20 symbols, all equally likely to show when the wheel stops spinning; the three wheels are independent of each other. Suppose that the middle wheel has 6 cherries among its 20 symbols, and the left and right wheels have one cherry each. There are three ways that...
