Down’s Syndrome or Trisomy 21 as it is called in the medical terms, is one of the most important chromosome abnormalities that affects considerable number of children in the world. This is characterized by an additional copy of the 21^st chromosome thus making the total number of chromosomes 47. Children who are affected by this abnormality would have delayed physical growth, mild intellectual disability and some strange facial features. It would affect the normal development and functioning of a child by making them look and behave strangely. They wold also have frequent physical illnesses when compared to the normal children.
