1) Eukaryotic cell are defined as cells containing organised nucleus and membrane bound organelles .Most essential structure of it are a)Nucleus b) Mitochondria c)Chloroplast. Nonessential are: a) Golgi apparatus b ) Ribosomes c) Lysosome.

A) Nucleus - It is the main double membrane structure containing genetic information. Functions - It stores genetic information necessary for development and reproduction. Also contain information for protein synthesis and cellular functions.

B) Mitochondria- They are membrane bound and known as power house of the cell .Functions - They produce energy (ATP). Helps in regulating cell metabolism .Contain own DNA and RNA for protein synthesis.

C) Golgi apparatus- It acts an important site for packaging material within cell, for formation of glycolipids and glycoprotein.

D) Endoplasmic reticulum : Have smooth Endoplasmic reticulum and rough Endoplasmic reticulum . Functions: SER is involved in lipid synthesis and RER is involved in protein synthesis, also in transporting it in Golgi apparatus in vesicles.

E) Ribosomes - Known as protein synthesis .Functions as site of protein synthesis and polypeptides.

2) Process of lytic and lysogenic replication : In lytic cell viral DNA exists as separate free floating molecule within bacterial cell different from host bacterial DNA .

In lysogenic ,viral DNA is located within host .
