The recruiting process is about gathering qualified candidates to fill am identified role and position within the organization. Tell me what you have seen or think has the biggest impact on the recruitment process?  How does the level of the opening impact the recruitment process? How do you think employees, supervision/management, and the organization (senior management/HR) see this process the same and differently?

The biggest impact on the recruitment process is the position for which recruitment is on.

If it is a senior level position, pool of candidates may not be very large in number and proper detailed screening needs to happen since senior level positions are critical for the organization. Also if it is a technical position where technical skillset is in demand, then a proper technical evaluator is required who can gauge the technical skills of the candidate.

The level of opening has an impact on the recruitment process in the way at an entry level position there will be a huge pool of candidates, hence screening might take more time. As the level in the organization goes up or increases, csndidate pool gets smaller. Lesser time is required for screening but more time is required in evaluation.

The employees sees this process with lot of scepticism. They feel that if they have not been shortlisted, it means some other people had some kind of setting. Unless they themselves get recruited they always feel the recruitment process in unfair. The management and organization sees this as an extremely critical task since a good recruitment can take the organization and team a few notches higher while a bad recruitment can bring disaster.
