I am doing a pilot study of an intervention and using a pretest posttest design to assess changes in aggression among children. There is only one sample (no control group) and the survey that is being utilized to measure aggression has questions with answer choices: “yes”, “no”, and “sometimes”.

Will this data be considered nominal or ordinal?

How would I best “score” this survey?

What statistical test would I use to assess whether there were significant changes in aggression after participating in the program?
