Ribosomes are one of the smallest cellular organalle, majorly found in the cytoplasm of both prokaryotic & eukaryotic cells, however some are also present on the external surface of endoplasmic reticulum. These are involve in the process of protein translation to synthesize polypeptides with the associated function of rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER).
