Answer #1

a-Amazon is the company where customer orders millions of products online and company has to deliver those products to customers in time. the amazon company has to rely on its supply chain which consist of fulfillment centers. Fulfillment centers enable e-commerce merchants to outsource warehousing and shipping. This relieves online business of the necessary physical space to store all products, which is beneficial for merchants without the capacity to directly manage inventory. Sellers send merchandise to the fulfillment center, and the outsourced provider ships it to customers for them .

These fulfillment centers help amazon's supply chain management to be cost effective because these third part logistics provider helps the amazon to store its products and takes duties to deliver its products to customers. Fulfillment centers make inventory management much easier and allow amazon more time to focus on other areas of their business.

b- A big part of Amazon’s success lies in its expert warehousing strategy, which ensures products are easily accessible from pretty much everywhere in the world. Amazon uses RFID in the Warehouse. It is an efficient way to transfer data and track items. An RFID system is composed of tags or labels, printers, and readers (handheld or fixed) . RFID tags can store up to 100 times the data of barcodes, allowing you to keep track of all the data you need for your inventory such as lot and serial number, size, manufacturer, vendor, expiration date, user, location on production line and anything else you might want to know.

In January it was reported that Amazon had 45,000 robots across 20 distribution centers. Today, they have roughly 100,000 robots in use across the world. Amazon has made huge investments in automation. The company spent $775 million to acquire Kiva Robots in 2012, now called Amazon Robotics. According to one report, worldwide Amazon has 493 warehouses covering about 180 square million feet. Their investment in autonomous mobile robots has certainly paid for itself in increased productivity with many more warehouses still ripe for the deployment of autonomous mobile robots.

Amazon uses trucks, bikes to deliver the products also uses GPS and tracking of their deliveries to know if the products is reached or not but amazon is going to air. Amazon's ambitious Prime Air program aims to use delivery drones to deliver your Amazon order within 30 minutes or less . These wide-ranging strategies allow the company to get orders out faster, easier and more efficiently to basically everywhere in the world – even remote and rural areas not served by traditional options.
