The Trump Administration has pulled out of the Paris Accords on Cimate Change withdrawn from the Kyoto Agreement and defunded the EPA. How realistic is it to expect business to act on sustainability issues without strong government regulation and policy?

It is very unrealistic to expect business organizations to follow ethical rules and guidelines without any sort of regulation from the government. The business organizations are mostly operating in the industry to earn a profit and therefore would not take steps to bring sustainable methods of operations if it brings down their revenue.

It is here the government steps in and puts pressures on the organization to adhere to ethical guidelines. Without any such pressure, the company would find it hard to invest in sustainable forms of business operations.

Therefore, any government should take ethical business standards seriously and must have regulations for the companies to follow them properly. This will ultimately help the company, the country, and the world.
