How old were you when you first learned about STIs? What kind of information were you given? Who should be responsible for ensuring that youths receive accurate and comprehensive sexual education?

STI ( sexually transmitted infections) are those infections which are caused by having sex with an infected person. The pathogens of these infections are bacetria, virus, yeast & some parasites. The other names of STI are venereal diseases & STD. The infection can be prevented to an extent by using a condom. Vaccinations also could help but the only way to stay completely safe from STI is to avoid sex. Sex education is something that has to begin from the family. It might be so awkward for parents to have a chat about sex with their kids but it is always a 'parents job'. Youth can also receive sex education from schools but they should be fully aware of the problems of unprotected sex before they are ready, and this is where parents needs to act.
