a) In water molecule the kind of bond is covalent(sharing of electron pairs between atoms),water molecules are bond by a hydrogen bond. 2 atoms of hydrogen bond covalently with oxygen atom,here sharing of electrons between atoms are not equal, the oxygen atom attracts more strongly than hydrogen.

b)Water molecules are pulled together strongly by hydrogen bonds because molecules are more attracted toward each other,this causes high surface tension of water.

c)Water has high specific heat because of hydrogen bonding,when heat is absorbed, bonds break and molecules move freely.it is important to life because water is seventy percent of earth's surface,water is able to absorb lots and lots of heat without rising the temperature,this is due to water's high heat capacity.

d)Carbohydrates have free energy because they have cellular energy when gets reacted it yields free energy.Example: glucose.The more cellular energy present in carbohydrates gives out high free energy after getting reacted.
