Neurohypophyseal hormones are synthesized in the posterior pituitary which is also known as the neurohypophisis.
While adenohypophyseal hormones are synthesized in the anterior pituitary.
The two major neurohypophyseal hormones are oxytocin and vasopressin.
Neurohypophyseal hormones are regulated by nerve signals that arise in the hypothalamus and terminates in the posterior pituitary, while adenohypophyseal hormones are regulated by the hormones synthesized in the hypothalamus which is passed through the hypothalamic- hypopyseal portal.
