this is a discussion thread that I need help with since I cannot relate to this specific scenario and I need help if you can write something from your own experience.

the instructions are: according to our text, there are four approaches to employee development: interpersonal relations, real-world experiences, formal education, and assessment of change over time.

in this discussion, please describe an experience from your life wherein someone encouraged, inspired, or taught you something that had been significant in your own development. Describe the context or situation, the content of what you learned and how it affected your life since that time. please also include a description of those specific qualities of the coach or mentor that made him/her particularly effective as a coach/mentor and influential in your life.

Hey I've answered it from my own perception, so it may differ from another from another answer. This experience of mine was at the initial stages of my job which was supposed to be a management consultant. Please leave a like if you like my explanation, it really helps me a lot. I am a team member in our management team. I was the new one there, so obviously there would be people who would help me and who would make fund of me. Despite of all that our team leader was a very dynamic man. He is the best example of Transformational Leadership. He used to conduct individual meetings apart from team meeting to understand and address each and every team members problems and guided me through the ups and downs of my Job.

Employee development in short refers to the kind of practices taken up for developing an employee in his workplace with respect to his professional career or personal attitude. My team leader made me develop in both the phases. I was promoted to the Team admin in charge under his guidance.

To be at the point, I've learned how to communicate within the team and within an organization. Communication is a significant aspect that had made me what I am now. Communication plays a crucial role both in our personal life and professional life. I started conducting team reviews, management meetings and so on which boosted the confidence in me. So the main drawback of mine is taken care by our team leader and thus i was able to develop in my both personal life and professional life.

This was an overview of my experience with my team leader who made the employee development as a practical thing to be happen and also developed my interpersonal relations.
