Based on the country Argentina what is the likely orientation towards any two HR practices. In other words pick any two HR practices between selection, socialization, training, performance appraisal or rewards and briefly describe (in 200 characters) how (to what purpose), are companies in that country likely to carry out that particular HR function. (for e.g.: In Japan performance appraisal is likely to be team/group based since the Japanese do not believe that individuals achieve alone, but rather that results are only achieved by the group or the collective. Hence, come time for performance appraisal, every member in a group will most likely either be equally praised or equally punished).

HR Practices Selected:

Selection: employees in Argentina are selected after following step wise procedure where different tests are conducted (number of tests are based on the job position), followed by interviews with the paned and lastly proper and strict background checks. Different companies can modify the stages of selection as per their needs.

Training: employees in Argentina have the statutory right to get training in regards to the skills needed to perform the job and Apprentices training is provided to the employees for a fixed period of time (minimum 3 months, maximum 12 months). Even internship of students is regarded as training for them to be used in future while fetching jobs in different companies.
