A cloud or a virtual server have contain multiple, independent Linux virtual machines. How does one uniquely identify of one Linux virtual server from another Linux virtual Server?
When a cloud or a virtual server contains multiple independent virtual machines, make sure that all virtual machines and all instances get a unique id for itself. This ID is usually in the form of UUID of the host. When there are multiple machines, each time a new machine is created a new UUID is generated to associate with it. In case a new UUID is not automatically generated by the system at the time of a new VM creation, the configuration file of the host will have to be edited to add a new UUID. Make sure not to make any other changes in the configuration file which will change the properties of the environment in which you are creating a virtual machine.

In this class, you will need to install the Amazon WorkSpace (AWS), a cloud based virtual desktop, and use the SQL Server in the AWS to complete the database projects of the class. An email with AWS access code has been sent to your CTU email account. Double check the Junk Folder if you cannot see it. Click here for the instruction to install and launch AWS. After installing the AWS application, launch it and login to your AWS virtual...
What is the Open Virtualization Format, and how does it facilitate the migration of virtual machines between hypervisors?
Part 1 – Investigate simple cloud file storage. Discussion: Cloud services come in many shapes and sizes. For large corporates, outsourcing many services to cloud providers can be an effective but sometimes costly option. Fed University for example currently uses cloud providers for our corporate web site and also for Workstation management (controlling and updating staff and lab machine software). The university also has plans to use cloud providers for other IT systems. At the other end of the spectrum...
what is the cloud? In your estimation, how does the cloud fit into enterprise and business in today’s market? When deploying cloud solutions, it is important to ensure that the system’s life cycle development process as well as risk management and disaster recovery have all been factored in these migrations and processes. Outline the strengths and weaknesses for small, medium and large size entities from moving to the cloud. Provide justification for each one of these for and against and...
How does a bivariate regression model differ from a multiple regression model? Multiple Choice A bivariate regression has only one dependent and independent variable but a multiple regression has one dependent variable and may have many independent variables. A bivariate regression has more than one dependent variable and only one independent variable where a multiple regression has one dependent variable and may have many independent variables. A bivariate regression has only one dependent and many independent variables but a multiple...
You have two Windows Server 2012 R2 computers with the Hyper-V role installed. Both computers have two hard drives, one for the system volume and the other for data. One server, named HyperVTest, is going to be used mainly for testing and what-if scenarios, and its data drive is 250 GB. You estimate that you might have 8 or 10 VMs configured on HyperVTest with two or three running at the same time. Each test VM has disk requirements ranging...
How does Virtual Reality (VR) have an impact on mass communications and advertising? Please provide key insights and analysis (how is communication being shaped and will continue to be shaped by technological advances like virtual reality)
One cubic centimeter of a typical cumulus cloud contains 310 water drops, which have a typical radius of 10 μm. (a) How many cubic meters of water are in a cylindrical cumulus cloud of height 3.0 km and radius 0.9 km? (b) How many 1-liter pop bottles would that water fill? (c) Water has a density of 1000 kg/m3. How much mass does the water in the cloud have?
