Describe an example where theory of constraints (TOC) was successfully applied to improve a process, or where you saw the potential for TOC to improve the process, in either a company you worked for or a company you were a customer at.

Theory of Constraint concept is very useful concept to remove barriers in process and improve the performance and quality at workplace.This concept deals with removing constraints, which we also like to call bottlenecks. so i have seen this concept in real life in a banking Company. The Banking Company was suffering from a problem of satisfying customer's need and high customer waiting in banks as Customers are waiting for long time to deposit money, checks, do other bank related activities. In the bank management find the Bottleneck in the form of poor performance of employee at teller counter which is causing high waiting to customers. so Company take the decision to increase teller counter so that customers can divide the lines on both counters and work can be done fast.

This has solved the problem to a level but company found still long wait so company find that the current business application they are working is outdated which takes time to process customer information so company implement new system application and train employees to use that. after that customer lines were none and work was so fast that customer's frustration is not anymore a problem.
