During the development of pericycle of the primary growth into secondary growth, a cork cambium is what it gets evolved into. The immature procambium finally changes to secondary xylem & phloem. Both the primary xylem & phloem will continue to be intact. Also, the 1st conductive tissues is the protostele. The protostele isn't branched with the xylem since it is encompassed by phloem. Finally, the protostele gets branched thus forming the siphonostele, having a tiny pith to the eustele, having large pith.
