Answer #1

The storming stage team process at Blockbuster is different from Netflix since the culture of Blockbuster did not encourage conflict of ideas or disruption of process compared to Netflix's approach of open innovation and encouraging its team to participate in decision making and work as partners. Blockbuster's change process was not supported by the management and team and it was not successful to implement the required change to compete. It was not able to make a shift with changing customer preferences and market trends. Netflix adapted well its business model as per the customer needs with help of its team and reinvented its strategy with help of technology and innovation. It  encouraged its teams to contribute ideas and experiment for business growth. Netflix focused on performance and excellence in their work culture supporting its team and employees to perform better compared to Blockbuster's rigid and hierarchical structure.
