I have visited the seminar on Road to CA when I was at the start of my studies. After schooling we don’t have much idea about how to peruse our career , so this kind of seminar are useful. Road to CA was conducted by ICAI and also one seminar was conducted by Deloitte Haskin and sells in Ahmedabad ,India .
Explain what you learned from this event .
From this seminar I came to know that was is importance of accounting degree in corporate world and how respected profile is this. Here they explain the basis knowledge required for perusing the course, fee structure, course details , types of subjects , examination details, course duration article ship required during the course etc. It was complete guide for the course
The key take away from the course are :
1) They explain that the student should complete the schooling in commerce division
2) After that they should clear CPT course. It has duration of 3 months and examination of 200 marks. Passing percentage is 50%. There are four subject in this exam. Basically it is entrance level exam.
3) On clearing the CPT exam , students gets entry into Inter CA course. The course period is 9 months and it has seven subjects on Accounting, taxation, cost accounting, Information technology. It is divided into two group and here also passing percentage is 50 %
4) After completing Inter level, Article ship of CA student starts. It is of 3 year duration. Here practical training is imparted to students and they are paid stipend also.
5) Here comes the final stage. The last step in the CA Student journey is CA Final. Last and also the toughest level. A student can get register for the Final course only after passing the second level i.e. Intermediate level then only he will become eligible to register for the Final Course. It has total of 8 subjects based on advance accounting, law, finance, audit, taxation , ISCA
It very tough to clear CA final.
For all the three level of course it takes approximately four and half year to get completed. Course registration and fee payments can be made online. Also it is followed by various training such as Information technology, Orientation training, GMCS 1 and GMCS 2 training.
How this will influence your accounting career ?
From this I Got basis idea of the course, the fee structure, level of knowledge required.
I started the course as per the guidelines and now I am qualified CA. It helped me a lot because the practical knowledge of any course can be gained only after going through it. The subjects are so good in CA that they are helpful in practical world.
