  • The first psychology laboratory was set up by Wilhelm Wundt in Germany,1879.He was responsible for setting up the first experimental psychology lab,focusing on experimental study of the mind laying the foundation for psychology as a science.
  • A statistical measure of a relationship between two variables is known as correlation.Correlation describes the size and direction of a relationship between two or more variables.It could be positive,negative or no relationship.
  • When a positive correlation is found between variables x and y,it indicates as x increases, y increases.In positive correlation,both variables move in same direction,i.e. either both increase or both decrease together.
  • A hypothesis must imply testable predictions.It must be stated in a way that it can be tested,to explain how different variables in a study are related to one another.
