In my husband's family, music is a strong component of regular family life. His mother was a church organist and pianist, and my husband grew up listening to classical music at an early age. His parents encouraged him to take voice lessons, piano lessons, participate in choral groups, and sing in front of an audience at an early age. As I write this quiz, my mother-in-law is at our piano, practicing for a small piano concert she will give to an audience at a retirement community. You might argue that it's just "genetics", but, my husband and I also frequently sing with small groups or in duets and trios, and we love to attend musical performances of many varieties. Instead of music, we could have been a family of sports enthusiasts or video gamers. To say that we have "co-constructed" our reality together around music is explained by a theory called

To say that we have "co-constructed" our reality together around music is explained by a theory called Facework.
Facework refers to people maintaining both their identity and dignity in order to create a more collaboration and solidarity. They work together to create uniqueness with which they would be known or identified. It’s true when people start liking each other, they would tend to learn certain things from each other in order to be known as a single unit. Self-disclosure is a concept through which people share their information to others in order to create open mindedness. Johari window is a concept in communication process with four windows where one area refers to knowing only to self, second area refers to known to others, third area refers to known to everyone and the fourth area refers to not known to anyone.
