With this regard when we talk about Mahatma Gandhi , one can clearly say he was a change oriented leader . Be it the first instance when he was practicing as lawyer in Africa where there was differential treatment/preference given to the whites than to the coloured , he revolted and knowing the situation in his home country of India was similar he went to India and started his practise of satyagraha, of course this was the time when there were large number of atrocities committed against Indian , he revolutionised the struggle for freedom, here it is pertinent to note that be it the American Independence or various other revolutions that had hit the world , people sorted to violence as an answer and this is where one must acknowledge how Mahatma Gandhi revolutionised the struggle through his concept of Ahimsha, which meant complete avoidance to Violence. Here is a leader who knew Violence was not an answer to any solution , he introduced the concept of non-violence which might have existed but never was used for struggle of independence, he advocated change through his concept of ahimsa. He understood the hidden potential of this and one can say he even predicated this concept as future of world peace and this is how he could say Mahatma Gandhi was a leader of change orientation.
