considering of planning to open a Starbucks in China, what would be the strategies would you apply? Please include organization structure: management and staffing, joint venture, motivational.

I will open this store with joint venture of a Chinese local person. I will also ready to modify my menu as per Chinese taste and preferences. My organizational structure will be open and functional one. Key part of this will be Kitchen department, Customer Service department, Inhouse management team, marketing department, back office for support activities like account & HR erc. and outside delivery department .

We shall motivate people in China to offer world class quality of foods. Customers should be treated as God. A special training to new hires must be given . Local people will be given advantage in selection decisions. Cross cultural training to expatriate and parent country nationals must be given. A sound business operations and related work environment will be promoted.

People in China are highly skilled as well as hard worker. They work to achieve committed goals and aspirations of the corporations. They used to achieve higher goals with competitive pace . We shall offer them higher quality of life in terms of well being allowances, life style allowances and best pay among existing retail stores.
