Vitamin K or phylloquinone is a coenzyme used to help build nucleic acids and it's main sources are leafy vegetables like cabbage,spinach,radish,wheat germ etc. It also synthesized by bacteria of large intestine. It is required for synthesis of prothrombin which is an important factor of blood coagulation.
