The dimensions of organization culture are means oriented vs. goal oriented, internally driven vs. externally driven, easy going discipline vs. strict work discipline, local vs. professional, open system vs. close system, employee orientation vs. work orientation.

The first dimension is Means oriented Vs. Goal oriented. Means oriented organization culture focuses on the way of working, while the goal oriented focuses on what to achieve. Goal oriented culture works on the achievement of goals despite risks associated with it. Second Dimension is internally driven vs. externally driven. Highly internally driven culture organizations focus more on ethics and honesty, while externally driven culture organizations focus on customer requirement over ethical considerations. Easy going work discipline vs. strict work discipline culture dimension covers internal structuring, control and discipline. Easy going culture organizations are characterized by unpredictable and little control with a room for improvisation, while strict work discipline culture organizations’ employees are cost conscious and serious. Local vs. professional dimension is related with relationship and control over employee. In local culture, the employees are short directed and internally focused. In professional culture the employees are identified by his profession or job. Open System vs. closed system is the fifth dimension of organization culture. The accessibility to the top management is easy in open system, while in closed system this accessibility is nearly zero. Sixth dimension is about the philosophy of employee orientation vs. work orientation. The employee oriented culture provides autonomy to work and employees are treated as assets, whereas in work oriented culture focuses on the performance.

The whole market is means oriented, internally driven, easy going work discipline, local, open system, and employee oriented culture. Amazon has goal oriented, externally driven, strict work discipline, professional, closed system and work oriented culture.
