The defroster is 1.20 meters wide. The voltage on its left side is 12 V and the voltage on its right side is 0 V. What is the approximate electric field at the center of the defroster's middle metallic strip?
I know that the answer is "The electric field's magnitude (amount) is 10 volts per meter and its direction is toward the right."
How do you solve and how do you know its direction is left or right?
Dear student,
Find this solution, and RATE IT ,If you find it is helpful .your rating is very important to me.If any incorrectness ,kindly let me know I will rectify them soon.
Thanks for asking ..

A long straight wire carrying a current of 2.03 A moves with a constant speed v to the right. A 120 turn circular coil of diameter 1.50 cm, and resistance of 3.25 u 2, lies stationary in the same plane as the straight wire. At some initial time the wire is to the left of the coil at a distance d = 13.0 cm from its center. 5.00 s later, the wire has moved to the right of the coil...
