In human body T lymphocyte number remain constant with the help of homestatic mechanisms

Usually the mechanism fail to explain HIV infection on the basis of progressive immune deficiency.

Pathogenesis HIV mostly shows the division in two phases.

The infection which are acute followed with dramatic loss of CD4+ T cells which are located in mucosal tissue.

CD4+ T cell located in the gut lymphoid tissue followed by the primary human immunodeficiency virus is the type 1 infection

that shows the delay in the restoration , and chronic phase followed by an immune activation, a massive proinflammatory cytokinesis production leadsto loss in peripheral CD4+T cells over the time.
