The muscle growth from a squat will be greater in the glute area. While walking lunges will have more muscle growth in the quads and hamstrings

3. Think of ways to test your predictions about the hypothesis.

In this case, you need to propose an experiment that allows you to determine the muscle growth according with the exercise that a person is making (squat or walking lunges). In a hypothetical case where you could find four individuals who agree to participate in your experiment, you can propose the following.

1)You will select four female individuals, with the same physical conditions. This means that the two individuals needs to have the same weight and height.

2)You will divide the four individuals in four “treatments”:

       -Individual 1: This person wont have any physical activity during the course of the experiment. This will be your control group.

       -Individual 2: This person will only make squats during 2 months.

      -Individual 3: This person will only make walking lunges during 2 months

       -Individual 4: This person will make squats and walking lunges during 2 months.

3) Once you have determine your experimental groups, you can plan the rest of the experiment. The experiment will consist in monitoring the muscular growth with a muscle perimeter which is a measuring tape but to measure the muscle growth.

4) You will record the centimeters of the glutes, the squad and hamstrings before to start with the exercise plan. After we start the exercise plan, you will record the measurements each week of each individual.

5) After 2 months you will be able to observe the final records, compare with the initial value and make some conclusions.
