AB/ab can produce gametes

AB, ab, Ab and aB among these Ab and aB are recombinant gametes

these genes are located 28 mu apart so recombination frequency=28%

recombination frequency= number of recombinants/total number*100

that is the percentage of recombinants= 28% so each aB and Ab are produced 14% each

percentage of Non-recombinants= 72% so each parental gametes are produced 36% each

so the proportion of AB/ab progenies=36%
