Answer #1

The 3 important that affect The colonization and growth of microbial infection are

Virulent Pathogen- It is the capable pathogen which can cause disease or damage host.Virulence is the ability of a pathogen to infect the host.Virulence factors help pathogen to invade the host, cause disease and evade host defences. Some pathogens are specific to only or few species, others have broad ability to attack almost everything.Susceptible host-is the one who has no resistance against a particular organism and who if exposed to this organism, is likely to contract disease.Susceptibility and resistance are governed by genetic factors.Without the right host in the right conditions pathogen cannot cause any harm.Suitable environment- It is the external conditions that the pathogen needs to thrive and multiply such as solutes and water activity, pH, temperature, oxygen level, time, pressure and radiation etc.Without a conducive environment a disease will not occur.
