Ascospores are formed in the sac like structure called ascus
* single celled ascospore is formed.
* The nuclear fusion occurs in cell ( diploid cell )
* Immediately after fusion diploid cell undergo meiosis and forms 4 haploid nucleii
* Mitosis occurs in these cells and forms 8 ascospores.
The haploid spores are seen in fungus. These spores are germinate to new fungus by forming the germ tube , as a result of sexuall reproduction spores are formed.

Steps:
1. Nuclear fusion
2. Meiosis
3. Mitosis
In the formation of Blastospores meiosis take palce.
These are the single celled spores borne on the club shaped strutcure called basidium.
* Nuclear fusion and meiosis take place in basidium
* Nuclear migration take place.
* Basidium formed exogenously at the tip of special out growth called sterigmata.Usually four spore are formed ( haploid ).

Steps:
1. Nuclear fusion
2. Meiosis
3. Nuclear migration.
Parts: sterigmata, basidium, basidiospore
Mainly the haploid cells formed as a result of sexuall reproduction.
Mapping with haploid eukaryotes is different than with diploid eukaryotes because in many cases all the...

Materials Needed per class: 1 box of 24 microscope slides of meiosis 1 1 box of 24 microscope slides of meiosis 2 red and yellow popbead chromosome kits Objectives To become familiar with the process of meiosis and to be able to identify the principal phases of meiosis To understand how the process of meiosis is similar to mitosis and how it differs from mitosis Introduction The genetic information of a cell is encoded in...

From the pages 571-587 attached below.
1a) Suppose a population of guppies was infected with a
parasite. In that population a mutation results in a parasite
resistant genotype that spreads through the population through
natural selection. A subsequent mutation in the parasite results in
a genotype that is unaffected by the newly evolved resistant guppy
genotype. What is the name of the hypothesis that explains this
host parasite “arms race”.?
1b) What is this name...
10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
How can we assess whether a project is a success or a
failure?
This case presents two phases of a large business transformation project involving the implementation of an ERP system with the aim of creating an integrated company. The case illustrates some of the challenges associated with integration. It also presents the obstacles facing companies that undertake projects involving large information technology projects. Bombardier and Its Environment Joseph-Armand Bombardier was 15 years old when he built his first snowmobile...
