when zygote form all cells formed are all same in structure and appearance. it is differentiated into different cells to form tissue and finally into the organ system to perform a specific function of the body.

This differentiation is because of the different part of the gene specifically expressed into the cell and form organs like kidney, heart, lungs, RBC's.

another part of the genome are silent and not expressed in the cell all these phenomena comes under differential gene expression
