Answer)
a) For the entities persons, the circumstances would Social Security number (SSN) NOT be a good, unique key, will be the circumstances in which the same SSN is there in different countries. It maybe possible that the same SSN is used in US and Canada for differentiating 2 persons in each country, which is not valid globally.

b) The name will be a potentially good attribute for the Department entity as there will be only one department of the unique names. Thus different departments will surely have different names. Whereas different people can have the exact same names, thus they cannot be the key attribute.

c) The potential advantages of creating an index for an attribute will be that the indexes make the queries run faster than non-indexed. Indexes such as the primary key and also the unique index make to avoid duplicate data.

d) Indexing on every column does not make any sense as it defeats the purpose of indexing of the columns in the database. The insertion and updation on such a table again will be slower as these changes will cause an update of all indexes on the table. All indexes take up more space on the table, thus creating an index on every column is not advisable.

The Passport class has a Photo class member, which in a full-blown implementation would store the passport photo that belongs in that particular passport. This Photo class holds its location or file name and the pixel data of the image. In this lab the pixel data is only used to show how memory maybe used when a program uses large objects. We will not...

    1. What is the rationale for making the bankruptcy discharge of student loans very difficult? 2. Petitioner argued that she should be able to use a postdischarge event (the auto accident) as a basis for establishing that she could not maintain a “minimal” standard of living, and thus she should get a retroactive discharge of her student loans. What benefit is there to her if she could successfully make the argument, given that she could—as the court noted—file for Chapter...

We'll use those lessons as a foundation...

Please read the article and answer about questions. You and the Law Business and law are inseparable. For B-Money, the two predictably merged when he was negotiat- ing a deal for his tracks. At other times, the merger is unpredictable, like when your business faces an unexpected auto accident, product recall, or government regulation change. In either type of situation, when business owners know the law, they can better protect themselves and sometimes even avoid the problems completely. This chapter...
