Hello, For an assignment I have to go to a newsgroup in Linux and view questions/...

Hello,

For an assignment I have to go to a newsgroup in Linux and view questions/ find solutions to them. I am confused on how to access the newsgroup.

Can anybody provide me steps on how to get to a newsgroup? Do I have to have a certain program installed on Linux? I am in the process of installing Fedora. I cannot access newsgroups from my internet browser, so I am assuming is has to be found in Linux somewhere. I am new to this so I don't even know where to start.

Here is the question:

Find two questions per newsgroup posted by a user in need of a solution to a problem, and follow the thread of responses suggested by others to solve that problem.

Answer #1

At first you please check whether your fedora is configured with proper IP address or not or whether your system is connected to the internet or not.

Secondly check whether in your fedora system your network services are running or not. Otherwise you can't able to connect to the internet.

Thirdly, check your iptables and firewalls rules of your Fedora machine and check if any law is enabled or not.

Fourthly, check your DNS connection in /etc/hosts file and even check the /etc/resolve.conf file.

These are the solution which you can try as a system administrator.

Hello Could I please have some guidance on the following question. If an astable waveform (rectangular wave) has a mark/space ratio of 0.33, what would be the Duty Cycle for the same waveform expressed in %? So this is what I know Duty Cycle (DC) = TH / T x 100 Period (T) = TH + TL Mark/Space (MS) = TH / TL So I have managed to get this far with substitution DC = TH/ (TH + TH/ MS)...
